2026 GCSE Results: Our 2026 GCSE cohort worked incredibly hard throughout the three-year programme, and their dedication was rewarded with excellent results. Two students achieved Grade 9, while one student achieved Grade 7, one achieved Grade 6, one achieved Grade 4 and one achieved Grade 3.

2026 A-Level Results: Students in the 2026 Exam-Year cohort had a wonderful set of results, with four students gaining A*s, and one student gaining a B. Well done!

2025 GCSE Results: Out of eighteen non-native speaking students who took the exams this year, one student attained a Grade 9, four students attained a Grade 8, seven students attained a Grade 7, one student attained a Grade 6, and two students gained 5s. The students worked very hard, and were rewarded with excellent results. Congratulations!

2025 A-Level Results: This year was the first group to sit their A-Level exams, and their hard work was rewarded with excellent grades. The three non-native speaking students attained two A-Grades and one B Grade. Two of the three students have successfully gained places to continue their Japanese language journey at Leeds and Oxford Universities. A great achievement!

2024 GCSE Results: Out of nine students, seven of whom had no prior experience with the Japanese language or Chinese characters, seven achieved grades between 7 and 9 (the highest possible mark). The average grade for the class was 7.1, and six students are continuing their Japanese studies by embarking on the A-Level Japanese programme. What an excellent set of results—well done!

Students in our extracurricular classes study Japanese alongside their other school subjects, interests and hobbies. All are non-native Japanese speakers who have chosen to take on the challenge of learning this fascinating and rewarding language. We encourage our students to work hard and make progress, while recognising that each student has different priorities, goals and approaches to learning. Rather than putting pressure on them, we give students the freedom to take responsibility for their own learning and make informed decisions about how they wish to approach their Japanese studies.
